It’s Saturday !!!
I am a weekend lover. Last night I went to the Great Xscape Tour to see- June’s Dairy, Zonnique, Tamar, Monica and Xscape. I have always loved Xscape- so seeing them in concert was amazing.
I missed most of June’s Dairy performance. But they need a lot of song covers- they opened the show. Zonnique did a good job but I didn’t know any of her songs. Tamar sung her face off as usual. But her savage time was a lot. She brought fans on stage and did a lot of talking about her divorce 🙄. I love Monica. And just like every time I seen her perform, she gave me chills. I have been a fan of Monica since a little girl when my mom used to play the Miss thing album.
le have been talking about Xscape been off tune (mostly Kandi). But they sounded great last night. I was happy with the entire show.

Merry Blogmas Day Three!!!!
My favorite game to play at holiday gatherings is Dirty Santa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Playing Dirty Santa is a great way to re-gift some of those not so great gifts you got last year and never used. Gather all your family and friends together for a little bonding time. Ask everyone to bring a gift. You can be as creative as you want with the game.
- You can ask everyone to bring a $10 gift card
- You can ask everyone to bring a gag gift
- You can ask everyone to bring a re- purpose gift
- You can ask everyone to bring a homemade gift
All gifts should be wrapped before starting the game. The players should not know what each gift is.
The more people you have the better the game will be.
I have been reading some of my followers and people I follow blogmas post … and I love the energetic spirits everyone is in. This is my first year participating in Blogmas, so I am super hype myself. Please continue to like, comment and share- I really enjoy reading and responding to your comments.
Merry Christmas to you all and your families …

I love the holiday season and spending time with my family. This is our second year taking family photos and I wanted to give yall a snapshot of the photo shoot. This day was filled with big smiles and laughs.
Family is my core. Without them I have no support, motivation, or inspiration. My years on the earth would not be the same without each of there grace and presence in my life. I wish nothing but peace, happiness, and love to my family and all of yours.
I want to send a special shout out to the photographer of the event, Mr. Trey Sims. He was so patient, creative, and fun to work with. Not only did he make me happy, but it made my family happy with these amazing family photos.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year’s Wishes!
First 2017 Milestone, my first blogaversary
It is my favorite time of year…. The holiday season! It’s just something about this time of year that I am in love with. The holiday cheer, the traditions, and the love in the atmosphere. With everything going on in my life, this time of year I feel most joyous.
Growing up my mother always had a real tree during theChristmas season. We would go to the Christmas tree farm the day after thanksgiving to cut down a tree and spend the weekend decorating it. It would always be a 7ft pine tree with a “big belly” my mother would call it, referencing the round fullness of its bottom. It was a lot of tree to decorate, but it was something we did together as a family. Each year my mom would buy a special ornament for me and my brothers add to the tree that was just for us, “Our little piece of the tree”. Some of them were handmade art project from school and others were collectibles from things we were interested in at the time. My favorite one was a matching Holiday Barbie ornament to the Holiday Barbie Doll Santa left me that Christmas. Actually I think it was the 2000 Holiday Barbie, with the Black and Silver dress and the pink collar. My mother still has those ornaments stored away, and every year she still brings them out to put on the tree. Sadly, we are all older now, so we haven’t added new collectible ornaments to the tree in years.
This year I decided to buy a real tree and decorate my apartment a little bit. Last year I didn’t decorate because I live alone in a small apartment that I was never at. So what was the point? But this year things are a little different. So I bought a small tabletop pine tree for $19.99 at the local Kroger store and hit up the Dollar Tree for some decorations.
I decided to decorate it with red and gold ornaments with a string of pearls and white flowers to make it unique. The Dollar Tree was the best place to shop for ornaments on a budget. I spent less than $20.00 on lights the pearls and ornaments. I also decided to continue the ornament tradition on my own this year.
If you are a PassionLocked subscriber or follow me on social media, you know I love tea. Of course the first of my collection had to be a teapot and its one of my favorite colors… GOLD! The second ornament I found is a glass slipper high heel, because no matter how old I get I will always be a princess in my head. At JoAnn’s Fabric store I found these wooden ornaments. One with my first initial, another with 2016 carved in it and the last one with JOY carved in it. I thought these would be great to cover in glitter and add to my tree. And I will save them for next year and find a few more to add to my little collection
Thank you Mommy for introducing me to such a wonderful holiday tradition. I can’t wait until the season I can share it with a husband and kids of my own. And thank you friends for stopping by my little ol’ blog. I hope you all are enjoying this season as much as I am.
And Hey! This is another thing crossed off my holiday bucket list…
