First and foremost, I want to say I MADE IT… I SURVIVED!!! I successfully completed Blogmas 2019. I’ve enjoyed this journey and I’m super proud of myself.
My last Shea Moisture box came right in time for Christmas and as well as a random box of goodies. I think this is my last box of 2019 from Shea Moisture. I’ve really enjoyed this journey of being a Sheabassador and I hope I can continue to work with the brand in the future.
Technically, Winter doesn’t start until December 21st but if you from Georgia winter started weeks ago. I have already started my winter traditions. Here are some of favorite things about winter:
Winter Fashion – Coats, Boots, Sweaters, Leggings, and Scarves, etc.
Winter fashions are my favorite. I love cozy clothing and colors. Leggings and a oversized sweater with my Ugg boots are my go to outfit for any day of the week when its cold.
Christmas Trees and Decorations
Its that time of year where I get super creative and crafty. I love decorating just as much as I like making gifts. I can’t wait to share my christmas decor projects with y’all. so stay tuned.
I love blankets. Blankets are for sure a part of my top 5 favorite things. I love making blankets and quits just as much as I love shopping for them. I have two blanket projects I’m working on that I can’t wait to complete and share with you.
I cherish when I have a day I can lay around the house in a oversized shirt and cozy socks and watch movies all day. I will put my phone on DND and watch movies back to back to back, or catch up on a series I haven’t watched in a while. My favorite christmas movies to watch every year is This Christmas and Best Man Holiday.
The best thing in the world is being around the loves you love with all your heart.
I have been trying so hard to not miss a day of blogmas. And I missed a day of blogmas 🤦🏾♀️!!!!!! So disappointing, but I’ve been super busy this month. I’m not just being lazy and not blogging I just had an intense Friday. Maybe I’ll do a bonus blog, but for now BACK TO THE REGULAR SCHEDULED PROGRAM.
I love a good pamper day. Pampering myself is a important part of my self care. I enjoy doing a at home facial, a bath with salts and scrubs and body oil to nourish my skin.
I recently adding a new product to my at home pamper day routine. Instead of a clay mask, this time I used the Yes To Cucumbers Bubbling Paper Mask, purchased from Target. I’m not really sure I had any expectations before using this product. I was curious to see how it felt and if it really worked.
It really worked. I applied the sheet mask just like any other sheet mask. It was not foamy when I took it out of the packaging. The sheet mask was nicely soaked with the formula. I don’t even know how long it took the mask to foam up. I didn’t feel it foam up. After I applied the mask, I enjoyed my hot bath soak with bath salts and once I was out I looked in the mirror and the mask had foamed. I was concerned that maybe the foam formula pull leave my skin feeling dry after taking the mask off. To my surprise the mask felt my skin feeling really hydrated. I used my face water mist to set my face after the mask and went about the rest of my pampering.
My crafty sassy behind has been busy this month. December is always a busy month for me and like always I am Not prepared. One year, December is not going to roll up on me when I’m unprepared. December 2019 I will be prepared with more gifts sets and personalized packages. But even tho I’m not prepared the way I want to be this year, I have been managing all of my orders and getting Blogmas posted once a day. I am a one women show and I pat myself on the back for making it to day 18 on task.
For those of you who don’t know, I am not just a blogger. I am also an Event Planner and creative innovator. I make personalized gifts and decor. As you can imagine around this time of year people are hitting me up for all types of stuff…. designed wine glasses, coffee mugs and Tumblrs, T-shirts, gift baskets and more.
I wanted to share my work with you.
If you wish to place an order, you can DM on instagram or email email@example.com. One day I’m going to have a store and a creative studio.
This is the time of year for the best sweet treats. I love me some sweet potato pie and red velvet cake, not the store bought kind but straight from my grandma’s kitchen. My personal favorite treat to make for the holidays is Christmas Muddy Buddies. It’s super easy to make…
Christmas Muddy Buddy Receipt
3/4 cups of Creamy Peanut Butter
2 cups of Powdered Sugar
1 box Rice Chex
1 Family size bag of m&m’s
2 cups of chocolate chips
You want to start off my melting the chocolate chips. Add the peanut butter in with the melted peanut butter. Stir until its well mixed together. Then, mix with Chex cereal in a large bowl. You want to make sure the cereal is completely covered. Using a Ziplock bag, shake powdered sugar and coated cereal together until cereal is completely covered. Pour into a serving bowl and add m&m’s as toppings. Enjoy!
A few weeks ago, my friends and I got together to celebrate one of our dear friends birthday and party with a purpose. The birthday guy requested we all bring items to make blessings in a bag. This was such a great idea and it warmed my heart. My friends are truly amazing!
We gathered most of the basic essentials …. likes bottled waters, cereal bars, fruit snacks, socks, tissues, toilets, over the counter medicine, and first aid items for the blessing bags.
As we partied and mingled, we also each made a blessing bag to put in our cars to bless a person in need.
So, I road around for at least 2 weeks with my blessing bag in my car. I honestly almost forgot about it. It wasn’t until I was at a red light on my way home and saw a man standing in the cold holding a cardboard sign. My first thought was, “It’s cold outside! Do I have a blanket in my truck to give him to keep warm?” Of course, I didn’t. But it dawned on me that I had the blessing bag I made with my friends at the Party with a Purpose kickback. I reached behind my seat and pulled the blessing bag from the pocket behind my seat and rolled down my window to give the man the bag. He smiled at me and said, “Thank you! God bless you.” In that moment my heart was full and I wished I had more to offer him in that moment. It was then I realized how important it is to keep things like blessing bags handy. You never know when you might come across someone in need and want to help them. This motivated me to start keeping blessing bags in my car for the next time I come across someone in need.
Blessing bags are easy to make and has the potential to make a huge difference to someone in need. Please be prepare to lend a helping hand at every moment possible, you never know when if could be you that needs the help from another stranger.
Y’all already know, I am the DIY Queen when it comes to gifts and decor. I came across the idea (on Pinterest) for holiday wine bags. I found these to be super easy to make and cute to give away as gifts. There are also cheap enough to make a resale profit.
These wine bags can be used for all occasions like birthdays gifts, wedding gifts, party favors, house warming, etc. I think else are my new favorite DIY gift item to make.
Tonight, my family and I had a cute little snack and game night.
We played a series of minute to win it games and ate good food. The kids made ginger bread houses.
But I wanted to share the cute little dollar tree decorations I created…
I made these cute little DIY snow globes, everything purchased from the dollar tree.
I found these cute candle stick holders at dollar tree and loved them so much that I bought all that were on the shelf. They came in white but I spray painted a few of them silver for my the base to my snow globe.
Using double sided tape I taped the bottoms of a toy Christmas tree to the candle stick holder. I used a steamless wine glass as the globe- putting just a little bit of white confetti as snow.
So cute quick and easy …
You can also use a wine glass with a steam as a globe with a candle on top.
To complete my table decor, I used Garland and toy gift boxes, mason jars and candles, and candy canes.
