DIYher Workshop is a new studio in Atlanta operated by the talented, Bianca Octavia. Bianca has taken her creativity to a new height, she will be hosting DIYher workshops and private crafting parties. The DIYher is a beginners workshop series designed to teach women how to build, craft, cook, and create. The first DIYher workshop was Tuffing 101, Bianca lead the class for a hands on learning experience with creating a fun sized cuffing board.
I was so excited to finally learn the tuffing technique. I’ve watched many YouTube tutorials of creatives making headboard, office memo boards, and upholstering furniture, but I never felt confident enough to make one. When I saw the flyer for the Tuffing 101 workshop, I knew I had to attend. Bianca is super sweet and a really great instructor. She’s very hands on and creative as a DIYher and workshop instructor. The workshop was only $30 and included all the supplies and wine needed for the project. I’ve never been to a DIY class before so I didn’t have any expectations. Soon as I walked into the studio, I was in awe of the workshop set up, the open space and location. The studio really embodies creativity, making it a relaxing place to learn, create and share. I had so much fun throughout the workshop. We learned how to make cuffing boards step by step, listen to music and talked, took pictures, enjoyed some wine.
I think I’ve found my new favorite “me time” place. I love when I can get lost in a project that allows me to create something amazing but takes my mind off everything else going on in my life for hours. I’ll be attending many more workshops.

Yesterday, my girls and I experienced yet another outstanding show by Beyoncé featuring Jay Z at the On The Run 2 Tour. It’s always a pleasure when 👑🐝 blesses us with her creativity and stage presence.
This show was my 1st time watching Chloe x Halle (Beyoncé’s artist) perform live. I love those girls! They are such great artists and I am a BIG fan. I even made t-shirts to wear to the concert.
Check out my wardrobe choice:
Black Tee (Men’s) purchased at Walmart
Red Biker shorts purchased at Walmart
Black and White Vans
Beauty Supply store clear fanny pack
NATURAL HAIR PROTECTIVE STYLE
I’ve had this hairstyle idea in my head for a while, but never had the opportunity to do it until the concert. It turnt out better than I thought. The black choker, hoop earrings and makeup really brought the whole look together for me.
Tonight, my family and I had a cute little snack and game night.
We played a series of minute to win it games and ate good food. The kids made ginger bread houses.
But I wanted to share the cute little dollar tree decorations I created…
I made these cute little DIY snow globes, everything purchased from the dollar tree.
I found these cute candle stick holders at dollar tree and loved them so much that I bought all that were on the shelf. They came in white but I spray painted a few of them silver for my the base to my snow globe.
Using double sided tape I taped the bottoms of a toy Christmas tree to the candle stick holder. I used a steamless wine glass as the globe- putting just a little bit of white confetti as snow.
So cute quick and easy …
You can also use a wine glass with a steam as a globe with a candle on top.
To complete my table decor, I used Garland and toy gift boxes, mason jars and candles, and candy canes.
Okay! I have the greatest obsession with stationary. I can spend hours in a craft store searching the bins of small packed stationary items. Just last week I went to Michael’s and spent at least an hour at those wire baskets full of goodies to sort through.
This is what I found….
These bookmarkers are great for saving your page in a good book. Or in my case, a good magazine or notebooks. lol
I found these paper clip markers for the first time in stores. I have seen them on esty and pinterest, but never in stores. So when I saw these I wanted them all. I thought they would be best for my journey, planner and work notebook.
Then I hit the jack pot. I found this bundle of joy on a major markdown sale. This bundle pack was only $5.99 (from $19.99). I love the packaging-it’s easier to store, and I love each design.

You all have met my family, right! I mean I shared our holiday photos with you all back in December … Okay, so… now, let me share what we have recently been up too…
Back in December, my youngest cousin came up with the idea to put together care packages for the sick n’shut in and homeless in our hometown. This was something we could get the entire family involved with. The greatest part of it all was the time we spent together doing it. We all chipped in to collect care package items like hygiene and personal care items, some snacks and note cards for personal messages.
To save money I found some small boxes that were about to be thrown out at my job. So we re-assemble and used the boxes to pack the items and wrapped them in leftover wrapping paper from the holidays.
A few Saturday’s ago, we all got together at my parents’ house to assemble our care packages. We ended up with a table full of goodies. From deodorant, wash cloths, tooth brushes, tooth paste, hand sanitizer, lotion, soap, Band-Aids, q-tips, lip chap, bottle water, to single packed snacks – and a personalized message of encouragement.
We had lots creative ciaos in the mix, but we managed to develop some sort of assemble line to fill the box and get them wrapped.
The last and most difficult part was loading them in my grandmother’s car for delivery. This should have been the easiest part. (lol)
I love lending a helping hand and doing something special for other whenever I can. I was so elated that this was something the whole family participated with in some way.
As I was shopping last week I ran into these two amazing art gifts. Colorful blessing are these little messages and bible quotes on a notecard that you can color. It comes packaged in this cute little box, that makes the product desktop ready. The decor box is filled with 44 delightful detailed cards to color and share god’s love, peace, and joy. As a young adult going through the odds and ends of life. I’ve only colored one so far (see over photo), and I must admit it did bring some joy to to my day. I’ve decided to display each little card my office cork board and share them with friends and family that come over to visit me.
The second gift is a little bit more spiritual and personal for me. It a prayer journal that can be used daily for a short devotional and written reflection of your own. When I saw this , I knew it was perfect for me. I try to make it a habit to sat aside time for myself to think and process everything going on in my day. But I want to get more in habbit of giving my time to god, more than just going to church on sundays. So my prayer journal will be my little special moments with god, which makes it very personal for me. Love it !

2016 is over, it’s a new year and I’m excited for what’s in store for 2017. My first post to this blog was my 2016 Vision Board. Today I want to share my 2017 Vision Board. Traditionally, vision boards have lots of pictures from magazines and not much wording. Looking back at my 2016 vision board, I missed a lot. In terms of my vision board, I think my goals and vision were outplayed by the pretty magazine pictures. I wouldn’t classify 2016 as a bad year nor a good year. I was a year of life and moving forward. But I’m looking forward to my 2017 being more goal-oriented with a lot more personal growth. No. A vision board doesn’t determine how your year will turn out, but it’s a mental reminder of where you see yourself throughout the year.
With that in mind, I decided to try something different with my vision board this year. I set it up more like a diagram with more words than pictures. This is an everyday reminder of the path I am taking in this year.
I collected my markers, stickers, glue stick and magazines to began my vision board project. I even pulled out my computer and printer for some extra help with words. After about three hours, I had a complete vision board.
I categorized my diagram by Savings, Friends/Family, Faith, Career, Mind, Hobbies, Health, and Fun. From each of these categorizes I was able to set small and big goals for myself in those specific areas. By using this diagram and words, each time I look at my vision board I can read the words and continue to be inspired by my vision and goals.
Check it out…
Have you created your 2017 vision board yet? Please share it. I would love to see (just @ me on IG). Remember, whatever your passion is and whatever you dream of doing, YOU CAN! Love it. Be it. Do it.
