December Ipsy Bag Review

Hello Passionistas

There has been soo much going on that I am just now posting this review of my December Ipsy Bag. I must say I really enjoyed this months bag. I was thinking about maybe canceling my subscription for Ipsy because I never actually re-purchase any of the items- but this bag has encouraged me to keep my subscription just a little longer.

This is what I got this month:

img_0381ASLMissGlam Makeup Brush feels so good on my skin. I don’t buy different brands of brushes, my brand of choice is ELF. So getting different brands of makeup brushes in my subscription make up bag is a refresher. This is the 3rd brush I have received in a ipsy bag. I enjoy testing out new and different brushes. I always have dirty brushes, so having clean back up brushes is least a plus. You can never have too many makeup brushes.

img_0380You all should know by now I love sheet mask. To my surprise I received 2 sheet mask this bag, Purlisse Green Tea + Ginger Rejuvenating Sheet Mask and Coconut + Rice Nourishing Sheet Mask. I’ve never heard of this brand before, but I like the product. I was excited about the Green Tea and Ginger mask, so I used it first. It was as expected smelled great, felt soothing, and left my skin feeling refreshed.

Charcoal is a booming trend the skincare industry. This winter I have taken a high sense of liking to anything charcoal in skincare products. This Global Beauty Card Charcoal wash-off mask is a wonderful treat to play in. I haven’t quick used it because I waiting for the right moment. The product is a mud based solution that helps unclogs pores and life away impurities. I want to wait until my skin is clogged with 2-day makeup and sweat cause I’ve been to busy partying … ha!

I love Smashbox. I love red lips. So…. this Smashbox Lipstick in the color Legendary was a great added accessory to my makeup looks. I am not as much as a red lip girl as I’d like to be. But this little red stick is the perfect size for my red lip moments.

I have received like three City Color Cosmetics Shimmer shadow in my bag, this one is  in the color It’s A Girl. I love these shimmer shadows, they are super pigmented and rich in color. I currently wear a bronze shimmer shadow from a summer bag I received -with my everyday makeup look.

Detoxifying Mask

Hello Beauty!

Last night I did another facial from my Peel Off Mask Gone Wrong blog a few weeks ago

img_7564This mask was much better than the last one I tried. Instead of a peel off, this mask is a paper mask by Yes to. I have tried a paper mask before and I think they are a great innovation to cut down the mess that can come with mixing and applying a mask. Paper mask are also convenient when it comes to traveling. I wash my daily every night with a daily facial wash and rinse it with cold water and a rag every morning, but I like to do a mask once or twice a week.

img_7636The Yes To Tomatoes detoxifying Charcoal Paper Mask is great for cleaning your pores. It is made with 96% natural ingredients with no parabens or silicones. I am really interested in this charcoal trend of beauty products. Charcoal is a natural detoxifier and impurity remover to deep clean skin.

I decided to use this mask the other day because I fell asleep with my make-up on. I normally wash my face once I get home from work, but it was just one of those days. I woke up the next morning with make-up all over my face. I didn’t do a mask right then, or I would have been late for work. So once I got home I looked through my collection of paper mask and choose this one. The charcoal helps to detox the skin and clean pores from all the product on your face.

I placed the paper on my face and started dinner. After about 20 minutes, I removed the paper mask and trashed it. My face was a little wet from the liquid on the mask so instead of washing it off, I let it air dry on my face and finished my dinner. Before bed, I used my NYX water facial mist to hydrate my face and rest well.

I purchased this at Wal-Mart for $2.50. They have a endcap display of 2 for $5 facial mask. I will be repurchasing this paper mask to use again.

Until Next Time,

XOXOXO

Peel Off Mask Gone Wrong!!!

Hello Beauties !!!!

I was in Walmart doing some shopping and I came across this Facial end-cap display. 2 for $5.00 facial mask. So I picked up a few that I’m going to try and review for y’allimg_7558img_7559

This review is for the Charcoal Modeling Peel Off Mask by Masqueology. I have never tried a peel off mask before, so this is a first. This mask is supposed to help detoxify the skin while minimizing the pores. The charcoal powder is meant to takes out dirt and debris that can clog pores and make skin look dull and dry leaving the complexion clarified, refreshed, and hydrated.

img_7566img_7567According to the directions on the back of the pack, you just open the pack and add water. Then stir it using the spatula that’s included…. Okay! I did that… It didn’t quite work out easy for me. The product was very lumpy. The package has creases at the bottom so the product gets trapped there, making it hard to stir.  So I decided to empty the package in a bowl to stir it better. I was able to get it a little smoother but it was still a little lumpy. The directions state to add water but not how much. Maybe I mixed it wrong.

But I put it on my face anyways just to see how this would turn out. EPIC FAIL!!! There was this odd looking white residue. Although, it came off when I washed it off. The peel off process was like candle wax. It wasn’t a peel effect at all. My face didn’t feel any better after wiping the mask off.I will never try this product again. In fact, I need to find a really good peel mask. If you’ve ever tried this product and got different results, please comment and share your experience? If you know of a good peel mask, please share in the comments?

I know it was only $2.50 but the only good thing about this product is the spatula that was included. If you’re ever in Wal-Mart don’t get this product, not worth it.
