Blogmas Day 15 |Beauty Products I’ll be leaving in 2019

Hello Passionista-

It is no secret that I am a product junkie. Most of you come here just to see what products I am using on my face and hair, or to read my reviews before purchasing a product. First things first, thank you for using me as your beauty resource. But, today I want to keep it real about a few products that just haven’t been working for me.

Often times I buy products to try based off go industry trends and not so much of a personal need or desire. And I always get samples and products from brands to try and review. Not everything makes it to the blog but I try my best to give my honest opinion and review to most of all the products I try. One of my goals next year is to do more social media post of product reviews and leave blog post for most creative content. So Stay Tuned, Girl!

As I was doing some end of year cleaning, I created a basket of products that I need to just let go of. Not because they didn’t work or wasn’t good for me but for various reasons. As a influencer I try so many products and not all of them can be apart of my everyday/ weekly line up. So some of them I really do only try once or for a week or 2 to give a review and then they get pushed in a closet somewhere, lol.

Body Products

Face Products

I thought about doing a giveaway, but then I thought it would be weird to send a stranger product that I have already opened and used. But don’t worry, I’m not throwing these products away. I actually send out a text to my family and friends letting them know what I’m getting rid of and let them come shop for things they may want to try.

One day, a brand is going to add me to their PR list and I’m going to get sooooo much product that I’ll have enough to do a giveaway (of unopened product) for y’all. GOALSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!

Blogmas Day 14 | #HolidayFeels Pop- Up with Shea Moisture

Hello Passionista!

Shea Moisture hosted the best holiday event I’ve been to this season (in Atlanta, GA) today, the #hoildayfeels Pop Up at Westside Cultural Arts Center. When I tell you I had a good time, a good time was had. This was a free event. They had like 5 holiday photo booths set up, a DIY shea butter bar, a cash bar, and the first 200 people received a free Slutty Vegan meal. Oh! and they handed out goodie bags with 1 full sized Shea Moisture product. Yesssss sis, all this for FREE!!!

Blogmas Day 12 | DIY Christmas Ornaments

Hello Passionista-

Y’all remember making salt dough ornaments as kid at school or in Sunday school. Well that’s the DIY of the day. I made some salt dough gingerbread ornaments for the christmas tree. If you never got a chance to make these at a kid or have forgotten how, I’m going to show you:

You’ll need: Flour, Salt, Water, Coco Powder, Gingerbread Cookie Cutter, and a baking sheet.

Mix 1 cup go salt and 1 cup of flour with 1/2 cup water. Mix together until the dough is form

Fun fact: You can add 1/2 cup of coco powder to the mix to make the dough brown for gingerbread men.

Use a glass cup to roll the dough flat and use the cookie cutter to cut of the gingerbread shape, or any other shape you would like. Lay them on a cookie sheet. Be sure to use a straw to make a hold at the top of your ornament for hanging.

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees and back for 1 hour. Cool for 1 hour or until complete dry.

Paint them to decorate them as you like and thread string through the hanging holes. then, decorate your tree.

This is a good project to do with your family for family night. Plan it and let me know how it goes.

Blogmas Day 9 | 5 Places to work and chill in Atlanta

Happy Blogmas, Passionista!

I live in Atlanta, GA where there are so many cool places to hang out and explore. As a business-women and blogger bae, I find that I am more productive when I go out to a coffee shop or lounge to get some “real” work done.

Today I’m going to share with you some of my favorite places to go to work, chill and enjoy peace.

Starbucks

There’s a Starbucks on just about every corner in the city. I’m lucky enough to live across the street from one. When I want to have a workday or a quick meeting I go to Starbucks. I can knock out a lot of work at Starbucks rather than sitting on my sofa getting distracted by everything in my apartment.

The Dancing Goat

Picture from Pinterest

This cute coffee shop is a new one I recently discovered. It’s a great place to have a work date with your favorite Boss Bae. There are 2 locations in Atlanta, one in Buckhead and another near Ponce City Market. The Ponce location is my favorite (pictured) they have an outside seating area with swings. I have literally sat in the place for 6 hours straight planning content and working on my weekly to-do list.

Ponce City Market

Ponce City Market is such a beautiful place with so much to do. You can eat, shop, network, and work. The second level of the building has cafe seating, perfect for you to disconnect from the madness and answer a few emails. I actually did my very first branded blog photoshoot at Ponce City Market this summer.

Piedmont Park & Morgan Falls Park

I find the park to be the best place to go to destress, clear your head, and think of new creative ideas. As much as I love a picnic in the park, I enjoy just sitting in the park with a notepad and pen to just write. Journal my thoughts and feelings or jot down the many ideas running through my head. I’ve found it to be the best way to spend some quality alone time.

Whole Foods

Just like Starbucks, Whole Foods is a great place to dine and work. Atlanta has a new Whole Foods location that has a rooftop. The rooftop is equipt with games, a concession stand, and dining tables. This is the perfect place to have a small group meeting to grab some food while getting some work done on a beautiful rooftop.

TELL ME, where do you go to get work done or just relax?
