Hello Passionista!

It’s been ages since I’ve carved a pumpkin and roasted pumpkin seeds. This year I was determined to do both. So I called over my girls for a “Girl’s Night”. We sipped wine and carved our cute little pumpkins.
Honestly, it was easier than I remember it being. I can’t explain why but as a kid it felt like carving a pumpkin was the hardest thing to do. I’m overjoyed with the way my pumpkin, “Jack-o-lena” came out.

Jack-o-lena sat gracefully on my countertop with a cinnamon candle for about 5 days before I saw mold and threw her out.
Now I did try to roast the seeds from inside the pumpkin. It was an epic fail. I burnt them. I don’t even know how they burnt. They didn’t look burnt but for sure tasted burnt. Better luck next year.
Tell me (in the comments), What traditions do you like to do with your family and friends on Halloween?
Before I go, #selfcarenovember starts tomorrow. Head over to my IG (@thepassionista__) for the flyer and take the challenge with me.
