Hello Passionista-
Today is a you’re lucky day… another blog post! That’s 3 in one week. I’m really on a roll. I just couldn’t let this content sit until next week.

So, a few weeks ago I was in Goodwill and saw this pretty chair that I thought would look pretty in pink. I purchased the chair for $15.

Supplies needed:

- Rust-oleum Chalk Paint
- Paint Brush
- Sand Paper
- Spray bottle with water

Step 1: Spray the furniture fabric with water, soaking the fabric really good.
Step 2: Paint the entire piece of furniture, using the paint brush. Let it dry completely for about 24-hours.
Step 3: Use the sand paper to sand the furniture piece. This will soften up the fabric and prevent it from felling crunchy.
Step 4: Paint a 2nd coat. This project will take about 3-4 coats of paint. Be use to let each coat of paint dry completely before starting a new coat. DO NOT spray with water after the 1st coat.
Step 5: Paint or stain the furniture legs any color you’d like.
Step 6: Use a furniture wax to seal the paint.
After 3 coats of Chalk Paint & Wax

This project took 5 days to complete, because I let the paint dry for at least a day before applying another coat. I spent about $42 on the chair, paint, and supplies.

My goals was to put together a cute little sitting /reading area in my small 1 bedroom apartment. I feel really good about what I was able to put together and think it goes really good with the decor of my apartment. Someone once told me, “the way your apartment looks should reflex you as a person”. I’ve been on a journey of decorating my apartment exactly the way I want it and this area is a beautiful addition. It’s cute and chic just like me!
