OOTD|Dare to be Different

Hello Passionistas !!!

Yesterday, my girls and I experienced yet another outstanding show by Beyoncé featuring Jay Z at the On The Run 2 Tour. It’s always a pleasure when 👑🐝 blesses us with her creativity and stage presence.

This show was my 1st time watching Chloe x Halle (Beyoncé’s artist) perform live. I love those girls! They are such great artists and I am a BIG fan. I even made t-shirts to wear to the concert.

Check out my wardrobe choice:

Black Tee (Men’s) purchased at Walmart

Red Biker shorts purchased at Walmart

Black and White Vans

Beauty Supply store clear fanny pack

NATURAL HAIR PROTECTIVE STYLE

I’ve had this hairstyle idea in my head for a while, but never had the opportunity to do it until the concert. It turnt out better than I thought. The black choker, hoop earrings and makeup really brought the whole look together for me.

DIY Project | Hexagon Shape Shelf

Hello Passionistas!

I’m excited to share with you, my first DIY project video.

How to make Hexagon Shaped Shelves out of popsicle sticks?

This project was super simple to make and cost less than $20.00

I hung the shelves on the wall near the entry way of my apartment. This is also where I have my storage ottoman to store my shoes and handbags. I thought the wall decor gave this area a little more character.

Be sure to drop some feedback in the comments section below and let me know what you think. If you’d like to see more videos like this one – give this post a like!

Tuesday Mornings Shopping Haul

Hello Passionistas!!!

Last weekend, I took a little shopping trip to Tuesday’s Mornings.

This store brings me so such joy and savings. Honestly, I went into the store for a gift bag and came out with so much more.

img_1197

I’ve been working on decorating my place, little by little. I love taking pictures but I dont have any picture in my home. So, I thought I get some cute little picture frames for my book shelf.

img_1199

I love using my Cricut Explore Air 2, but the cost of vinyl adds up. I usually pay $12.99 or more for 1 roll at Micheals craft store or varies prices as I find bulk packages online (Amazon). BUt I never thought to look in Tuesday Morning’s. I was shocked to find vinyl materials in the craft aisle. I will shop here for my vinyl more often.

  • 12in x 48in roll of Pow Pink Adhesive Vinyl- $3.99 (regular price $9.99)
  • 12.25in x 120 Minc Pink Reactive Foil- $3.99 (regular price $9.99)

I am sucker for body and spa products. I like to try different products and brands. Look at what I found.

img_1200

I love a good salt scrub for deep cleaning my skin after shaving. Activated Charcoal has become a very popular trend and this is the first time I have come across a charcoal salt scrub.

So I’ve been on this thing where I use body oil to hydrate my skin after showering instead of lotion. Honestly, one day I was too lazy to rub lotion on my legs so I just sprinkled some body oil on my skin before bed. My skin felt so amazing.

This body wash smells sooooooooooooo good. I am such an impulsive buyer- cause I didn’t even need any body wash. I saw Honey and Mango and added it to me shopping cart. But it’s always good to have extra body wash around the house.

At the end of week I like to relax in a nice hot soak. I eirther use a Lush bath bomb or bath salt. I cannot wait until Sunday for my next hot soak!!!!!!!

DIY Project: Candy Jar

Hello Passionistas!!!

img_0467

I want to bring more DIY and creative blogs to Passion Locked. I mean arts and crafts are truly a passion of mine. So today I will be showing you how to make these cute little candy jars from clay pots and fish bowls.

This is a great DIY projects for your home, office, and gifts. Valentine’s Day is around the corner and I think this candy jar will be great to decorate your home or office with, or give as a gift. I will be making three of these Candy Jars, all different colors.

img_0448

Here’s what I am using:

  • 4.25 in Clay Pot and Saucer from Home Depot (0.78 each, pot and saucer sold separately)
  • Mini Fish Bowl from The Dollar Tree
  • Wooden Ball from Hobby Lobby ($2.99/ 4pk)
  • Acrylic Paint and Sponge brushes, for this project I am using 3 colors: CraftSmart Red, Anita’s Royal Fuchsia, and Folk Art 676E Inca Gold
  • For decorative supplies I am using Gold Adhesive Diamond Wrap and Red Diamond Wrap from The Dollar Tree
  • Loctite Super Glue
  • Parchment Paper

img_0462

To start, paint the clay pot and saucer and wooden ball. I painted one coat, let it dry then painted a second coat.

Side Note: I used the parchment Paper to protect my table top from the paint.

img_0464

Then, using Loctite super glue- glue the wooden ball to the top (center) of the saucer. As well as gluing the fish bowl to the (bottom) clay pot.

img_0469

Now, it’s time to decorate. I am using the adhesive diamond wrap around the bottom of the gold candy jar and the red diamond wrap around the bottom of the red candy jar. You can personalize the candy jar with other decorative stickers or letters. I plan on actually personalizing these candy jars for special people- so I’m not going to post the finished product in this blog. But closer to Valentine’s Day I will post the finished look on my IG (@passionlocked) account.

Lastly, Fill the candy jar with you favorite sweet treats.

I hope you liked this blog. If you decide to make one of these candy jars yourself, share pictures with me. Christmas Party Decor

Happppppyyyyyy Saturday Night!!!!

Tonight, my family and I had a cute little snack and game night.

We played a series of minute to win it games and ate good food. The kids made ginger bread houses.

But I wanted to share the cute little dollar tree decorations I created…

I made these cute little DIY snow globes, everything purchased from the dollar tree.

I found these cute candle stick holders at dollar tree and loved them so much that I bought all that were on the shelf. They came in white but I spray painted a few of them silver for my the base to my snow globe.

Using double sided tape I taped the bottoms of a toy Christmas tree to the candle stick holder. I used a steamless wine glass as the globe- putting just a little bit of white confetti as snow.

So cute quick and easy …

You can also use a wine glass with a steam as a globe with a candle on top.

To complete my table decor, I used Garland and toy gift boxes, mason jars and candles, and candy canes.

Super easy and super cute!!!

Making the perfect personalized gifts (Blogmas Day 18)

We are like a week away from Christmas…. and everyday I get more and more excited….

Today, I am going to show you one of the personalized christmas gifts, I made for a friend with my Cricut Air 2.

I found this oversized flask at CVS in the gift section for hoilday stocking stuffers. It was $9.99, at the time I purchased it I had no clue what I would do with it. But I turnt it into the perfect gift.

I used my circut air 2 machine to to cut vinyl of a “R” and the name “Rasheena” (my friend’s name. Using transfer paper I put the “R” on first, centered or course. Then, the name “Rasheena” across.

img_9929

Normally I order my vinyl in bulk from Vinyl Expressions or Amazon. But the patterned vinyl, used for the “R” is from Hobby Lobby- a 12 X 12 sheet only $1.99.

If you have a Cricut machine, please share some of you projects. If you don’t have this machine but would like some personlized gifts and nic-nats, DM me on my creative IG page (@passionlocked)

Christmas Dinner Chargers (Blogmas Day 15)

Today, I am back with another cricut project.

I honest can’t believe I never thoguht about this before…. Decorating dinner charger with vinyl to display a personal greeting, quote or image. The closer we get to christmas the more events I have to attend or decorate for. So I have been on pinteret heavy for the last couple of months, looking for ideas.

To make these dinner chargers, I used  a few from my collection. But you can purchase them at Hobby Lobby for like $1.99 (rember to use your 40% off couple). Dollar Tree also sells dinner chargers but it’s hard to find them in store, so you may have to purchase online by the case. I also use the Cricut Design space and transfer vinyl – I had left over from other projects.

Christmas (ugly) Tree Reveal (blogmas Day 10)

Hellllllllloooooooooooooooo!!!!!!

I have discovered one thing…. I am not good at tree decorating. My tree is so ugly! I don’t like it at all. LOOK AT IT!!!

I had a vision for what I wanted but clearly it didn’t work out the way I saw it in my head.

Growing up my mom always decorated the prettiest, big Christmas trees. For myself, I don’t need a huge tree. So I choose to get the little 3 ft trees every year. But it was so hard to find a nice full tree. So this is what I ended up with. For some reason I couldn’t make it work to my liking….

Share your Christmas tree decorations!!!

Give me suggestions for mine …. plzzzzzzzzz!
