Hello Passionista-

Y’all remember making salt dough ornaments as kid at school or in Sunday school. Well that’s the DIY of the day. I made some salt dough gingerbread ornaments for the christmas tree. If you never got a chance to make these at a kid or have forgotten how, I’m going to show you:

You’ll need: Flour, Salt, Water, Coco Powder, Gingerbread Cookie Cutter, and a baking sheet.
Mix 1 cup go salt and 1 cup of flour with 1/2 cup water. Mix together until the dough is form
Fun fact: You can add 1/2 cup of coco powder to the mix to make the dough brown for gingerbread men.
Use a glass cup to roll the dough flat and use the cookie cutter to cut of the gingerbread shape, or any other shape you would like. Lay them on a cookie sheet. Be sure to use a straw to make a hold at the top of your ornament for hanging.
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees and back for 1 hour. Cool for 1 hour or until complete dry.
Paint them to decorate them as you like and thread string through the hanging holes. then, decorate your tree.
This is a good project to do with your family for family night. Plan it and let me know how it goes.
